Crowds kill a worker to get in to store first to shop!

In a disturbing story and yahoo video news above, shoppers who could not wait to get into a store, tramped a worker to get in. What is wrong with us, we have become a selfish me first generation. If we break down the story it is basically a story of ME FIRST at any cost. The very same items would have been there all day but there was something in the minds of those in the crowd that wanted theirs first.
It is the myth that retailers use to fool shoppers..HURRY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST..it is a trick based on me first. A man lost his life due to materialism. A life was lost but someone got the items they wanted. But like all material items it is only a temporary high, then we need a new purchase to satisfy ourselves again.
What if it was your brother or son who was tramped for items at Walmart. Would it change your life? A retail worker making close to mininum wage is dead this Saturday morning and we as human beings should all be ashamed. As a Spiritual life coach I see such an attachment to materialism even from those who call themselves Christians. The irony is that many of the people who crushed this man wanted Christ-Mas presents.
Lord Jesus spoke often against materialism even going as far as saying that materialism and spirituality do not mix.
How do we wear those clothes or give those gifts that where purchased that morning at Walmart if we were in that crowd that killed that man.
Let us return to spirit and give the true gift of LOVE to others. Love is a item Walmart does not sell but it will last forever. Please share this post on the top right “Tell a friend button ” and help someone.
